Gemini’s Tinytag Ultra 2 Thermocouple data logger is ideal for accurate temperature monitoring in a range of manufacturing/process applications. It supports type K, J, T and N thermocouples, providing fast response monitoring for ranges from -270°C to 1370°C. A built-in temperature channel allows simultaneous monitoring of process and ambient temperatures and its connection supports standard and miniature thermocouple plugs. Recorded data is downloaded to a PC via a USB cable and viewed with easy to use Tinytag Explorer software.
Lime manufacturer Singleton Birch is using the thermocouple logger as part of research and development work to monitor the temperature rise of calcium oxide when water is added. The rise in temperature indicates how reactive the lime is at different stages, which means it can then be determined for what final application the lime can be used. Continuous, accurate monitoring is required with data downloaded after every test, and the Thermocouple logger has proved an effective solution.
• Tinytag data loggers are marketed in Ireland by Manotherm.
