Embedded Industry Technologist appointed!

Mrinal Iyengar has been appointed as Vice President, Product Management with Abaco Systems.

Iyengar’s most recent assignment was as Director, Advanced Systems at UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS), one of the world’s largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products, where she was responsible for product development of new reconnaissance and surveillance sensor systems.

With bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Massachusetts and NorthEastern University and an MBA from MIT, Iyengar was previously with Goodrich Corporation and Northrop Grumman.

In her new role, Iyengar will bring her in-depth understanding of the needs of customers in the embedded computing industry with a brief to drive the creation of innovative, mission-ready systems that will minimize program risk, accelerate time to deployment and reduce long term cost of ownership.

In the past ten months, Abaco has added significantly to its talented team which has grown from ~600 to over 800 as the company looks to put in place the resource necessary to deliver market-leading customer service and support.
